Adventure Xstream Durango
Adventure Xstream Durango will be a drastic change from the canyon lands of Moab . The course offers up world class single track mountain biking. Set in the beautiful back country of the San Juan Mountains, teams will test their mettle in the third stop in the AdventureXstream Series. So, come join us in Durango in June!
Disciplines Included for the Durango "Sport Course" (6-12hr) Adventure Race: (Start Time: 7:00am Saturday)
- Kayak (~10-12 miles) - Mostly Flatwater with some Class I/II whitewater
- Mountain Bike (~25-35 miles)
- Trek(~6-10 miles)
- UTM Plotting & Map Navigation
- Ropes: Tyrolean
Disciplines Included for the Durango "Adventure Course" (18-24hr) Adventure Race: (Start Time: Midnight Friday)
- Kayak (~10-15 miles) - Mostly Flatwater with some Class I/II whitewater
- Mountain Bike (~30-40 miles)
- Trek/Rogaine (~15-25 miles)
- UTM Plotting & Map Navigation
- Ropes: Tyrolean
*Each disciplines distance is given as a range for training purposes. Exact distances are not given so that the course will remain secret. Disciplines, distances and difficulty subject to change.
Approximate drive times to Durango from:
Albuquerque - 3.5 hours
Denver - 6.5 hours
Salt Lake City - 7 hours
Phoenix - 8 hours
Las Vegas - 10 hours
Supported or Shuttle/Gear Drop Option - For this event you can choose to have it be supported use the free gear drop/ shuttle service. We encourage you to provide your own support crew as this will limit your logistical requirements for the event. However, if you cannot provide your own support crew we will be offering a shuttle/gear drop option for those teams. This service will be offered at no charge. Additional logistical information about the shuttle/gear drop will be posted to the "race updates" pages in the near future.
Colorado Search & Rescue Card
All participants are encouraged to have a Colorado Search & Rescue card to participate in any of the Colorado Adventure Xstream events. This card costs $3.00 and is good for one year. This card will pay for any Search & Rescue cost in Colorado. These cards will be available for purchase at racer check-in if you do not have one already. Lodging:

Volunteer Opportunities - Have family or friends coming with nothing to do? Put them to work. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the race. Volunteers who help for 8-12 hour shift receive a $100 race voucher that can be used by anyone. Have them fill out our volunteer application here.
