Supported or Unsupported: The 6hr, 12hr and 24hr races can be done either with a support crew or by doing a gear drop. Gear Drop & Gear Box Instructions: If you do not have a support crew you can opt to do a gear drop. 24 hour racers must do a gear drop Friday evening. 12hr and 6hr racers can do the gear drops either Friday evening or early Saturday morning. The 24hr and 12hr race will have one gear drop location (Plus the start/finish location where you can have another gear bin/bag). The 6hr race will have two gear drop locations. Gear Box or Large Duffle Bag Options: For transition area(s), teams will be required to put all of their gear, food, water etc. in a Rubbermaid style container, as shown below, or a large duffle bag. You may not leave your gear loose at the transition area, with the exception of your bike and paddles. Please limit the number of containers so that we maximize the space at the staging area(s). Each Box must be labeled with your team name and team number on it. Additional information will be provided in the final race update regarding the gear drop, and drop off times and locations. We recommend Rubbermaid or similar plastic containers for your gear boxes. All gear boxes must have lids. If you use a duffle bag we recommend having a large trash bag to put over it, if you want to keep it dry should it rain.
